Auggie Sarah Jane Perbix ’06 on ‘Late Show with David Letterman’

The Late Show with David Letterman logoAugsburg alumna Sarah Jane (Elhardt) Perbix ’06 performed with Minnesota’s rising star Jeremy Messersmith on “The Late Show with David Letterman.” Perbix, who majored in music and marketing communication, plays keyboards and sings with Messersmith. Augsburg named among most LGBT-friendly colleges in U.S.

indexAugsburg College was named to Campus Pride’s 2014 list of the Top 50 LGBT-Friendly Colleges. Campus Pride, a nonprofit organization aimed at creating more LGBT-friendly colleges, compiled the list from schools that achieved the highest ratings in categories such as LGBT academic life, LGBT student life, LGBT housing, and more. The accolade was featured by The Washington Blade, The Huffington Post, and Advocate.

In 2013, Campus Pride awarded Augsburg College a perfect score of 5 out of 5 stars on its LGBT-Friendly Campus Climate Index.

Auggie named to leadership post for Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe

Catherine Colsrud ’14 recently was named commissioner of administration for the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe. According to the Brainerd Dispatch, Colsrud, who holds a degree in business administration, will provide oversight of the commissioners of community development, health and human services, natural resources and environment. Mark Muhich ’89 re-elected to Range Mental Health Center Board

Mark Muhich ’89 was re-elected to continue service on the Board of Directors for the Range Mental Health Center. Muhich, who has served on the Board since 2006, graduated from Augsburg College with a bachelor of arts in English and political science. He lives and practices law in Virginia, Minn. The list of honorees includes students studying in one of nine graduate degree programs or specializing in one of more than 50 undergraduate majors offered at Augsburg. Jenni Lilledahl ’87 appears on KARE 11

kareAugsburg College alumna Jenni Lilledahl ’87 helped co-found Gilda’s Club Twin Cities, a new space where people living with cancer and their families can find social, emotional, and psychological support. Lilledahl serves as chair of the organization’s Board of Directors and also is the owner of Brave New Workshop, a Twin Cities-based comedy theater. Watch Lilledahl discuss Gilda’s Club on KARE 11 News.
