Dr. Kenneth Green is the Director of Bands and Assistant Professor at Augsburg University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He most recently earned the Doctor of Musical Arts in Conducting from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina. Prior to pursuing his doctorate, Dr. Green served as the Assistant Director of Bands at Allen University where he was the director of the symphonic band, jazz ensemble, and pep band. He was a recipient of Allen University’s Professor of the Year award and the South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities Excellence in Teaching Award.
Dr. Green earned a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and a Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance from Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, Virginia.
He is a member of the College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA), National Association for Music Education (NAfMe), National Band Association (NBA), Minority Band Directors National Association (MBDNA), and the International Trumpet Guild (ITG).
