Michelle Strand has taught science for 31 years in Minnesota, Nebraska and North Dakota. She has 26 years of experience teaching college-level introductory physics (including AP Physics B, AP Physics C, AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2 and Introductory algebra-based physics at a community college).
Michelle was recently selected as one of 15 K-12 STEM teachers for the Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellow by the Department of Energy. She is finished up an 11-month stint on Capitol Hill in the office of California Congressman Mark DeSaulnier working on National Education Policy.
Michelle served as Senior Reviewer for the AP Physics C: Mechanics, AP Physics 1 and AP Physics 2 audits. She was a member of the AP Audit Development Committee for Physics 1 & 2 as well as the AP Audit Development Committee for changes coming to all AP Physics Audits. Michelle has been a part of the AP Physics reading for 25+ years as a reader, a table leader and Exam Leader for the B exam, C exams and P1 & P2 exams. Michelle served for 6 years as high school co-chair for the AP Physics C Test Development Committee and she has been
an AP Physics Consultant for 10 years.
